omnicrafter: (here for you)

Irhya answers the door in a large sweater and pants, smiling up at him. "Hi," she says, "come on in. I'm still working on it, so things in the spare room are a little messy right now... apologies."

It's just her workspace that's cluttered, though. The curtains are drawn, with a circle of leather half-cut on a mat on the table, and some rivets and two sets of pliers next to it. Scissors, a round knife, an awl. The rest of the house is pretty neat as they pass by a handful of other rooms, but things within the bounds of that particular space get into a state of organized chaos when she starts working. It's a little embarrassing to show someone else, but she messaged him in such a hurry that it left her little time to clean it up.

She gathers the saddle from where it sits on a nearby chair and presents it to him. As agreed upon, it's not particularly decorative, but it feels firm, everything checked and double-checked to make sure it's stable and secure down to the last rivet and stitch.

"I'd like to try it on her to make absolutely sure it's comfortable before I let you go, but that's the first of the two."
